The book dealt more with race issues, and nothing was resolved, but I gather that the movie is all ~lol we fixed it~. Thoughts?
Even so, heard a talk about the reason this movie was so marketable was because it was a story about black people told through white people so OBVIOUSLY that makes it okay and gives it mass appeal. Ugh.
